About Songa Somatics

A place to enliven your longings/ A way to enliven your longings

Songa (v.): To move (Swahili) Somatics (n.): The wisdom of the living body in its wholeness

Songa Somatics evolves from the foundation laid by Dynamizing Equity™. Rooted in East and West African lineage particularly Nigeria and Sierra Leone—“songa” is a Swahili word that means to move. It calls us to remember: movement is life, and the body is sacred ground.

The name honors both what we carry and what we’re here to become through breath, voice, and presence.

A Shift in Name. A Return to Essence.

Songa Somatics centers the healing, reconnection, and emergence that happens when we move toward what we long for rather than only what we resist. We invite people into deeper awareness, resilience, and cultural renewal by rooting transformation in the living intelligence of the body.

This work weaves together: Embodied practice rooted in somatic awareness, ancestral memory, and cultural healing Creative expression drawn from movement, voice, ritual, and song Spacious transformation held with care, one breath at a time

Change doesn’t rush and neither do we. We move it with presence, rhythm, and reverence.

About The Muse - Meet Farai

A guide, facilitator, and somatic coach, Farai invites you into a transformational practice of returning to your body as sacred ground.

The Somatic Muse’ Personal Coaching Approach

This coaching journey draws from the Songa Somatics method—an embodied approach inviting you to LIFE: to Listen, Intuit, Feel, and Embody. Together, we will enliven your longings through breath, voice, stillness, touch, and movement—creating space for the emergence of what’s most vital in you.

Rooted in the Strozzi Institute methodology, somatic coaching is a transformational, life-affirming process that organizes emotional, social, and spiritual commitments towards embodiment and fulfillment. It is based on somatics, a transformative change theory that aligns actions and behaviors with values and visions for life, enabling individuals to embody what they care about.

The methodology includes:

Somatic Awareness: Increasing awareness of the body and its responses.

Somatic Opening: Transforming conditioned tendencies, emotions, and automatic responses through the body.

Somatic Practices: Assessing and moving toward actions and embodiment that reflect individual and collective commitments.

Somatic Resilience: Building the ability to sustain well-being and effective actions.

Understanding Social Context: Respecting broader contexts such as landscape and spirit.
